I received my masters discs this morning from Sellaband.

No new contract with Sellaband, just me, naked and free.

What a feeling!

Thank-you to all who believed in me, I`ll never forget you. Please keep in touch.

Love you all and be bad!

Deep depression has lifted I am so happy to say that my life is getting back to happiness.

Sunny New Days are here. :)

I have had so long, too long, where I was here – but not here, now I am back!

Thank-you to the on-going support of my special people surrounding me. You know who you are! XXX

I am making plans and now that I have returned to music (writing new songs as we speak).

I am planning my next album.

I am eternally thankful to all of the people around the world who made a dream come true and supported my first album, thank-you. XXX

I am forever thankful to Mick Glossop and the musicians who featured “Fire & Snow“. An incredible experience that I have for the rest of my life.

I am thankful that I am now free my the record company (Sellaband) that was the initial vehicle, enabling me to get the support I needed for a debut album & unfortunately they were the inept label that helped to drag me down into a deep depression.

This time I am going to do this my way, with your help. I will keep you informed and be in contact with you with my blogs, emails and video, allowing you to feel the steps of my pathway on which we will walk together onto “Naked Storm“.

Please help me by donating for my next album. Just look to your left. :)

Love you all and thankful for standing by me. XXX

I received this mail a few days ago from Stanlee from The Bleed

Hi M
Just on your sellaband tales. I posted the bleed up. I never thought much of them and really only wanted the money to go record with.
So glad now that never happened. Here is what we have achieved. We recorded an album and an ep on our own protools mbox.
we mixed it and then sent it for profresh mastering. we hooked up a meeting through my own little label i started myself called hitstate records
with MGM . we got distro through jbhifi sanity etc and a host of indies, we used artstate design and through A.I.R membership got regency
who print cds for the majors to make our cd with a barcode. we then took the cd 500 copies to the warehouse in sydney that mgm use
and blam! we were distro ready. we then got distro (digital) also through mgm and a few other places. we then worked day jobs and set up our own tours
because no agency would touch us. we did a weekend in each state melbs syd briz and perth
we did this twice in a row so it appeared we were playing each city once a month. we put street press adds in each cities street press promoting the launch
with links and blurbs saying available at all good stores and online. by our fourth time through we were starting to get fans.
we started to set up fan only shows and emailers and our downloads started selling. we got offered a few shows to bolster our tour dates.
we spent about 5,000 doing this pluss accomodation. we used the money we made on tour and small sales amounts to do it all again with merch
For six months i worked all week and travelled and played the weekends. we now have enough to go to sing sing studios and have hired eskimo joes producer jimi maroudis
to do a full production cd / ep. as we make each song “funds pending” we at least release it digital . As soon as we have five tracks  we then hit up mgm distro for hard copies. the way they go to stores is this. they will stock two copies and when fans order or ask for it at the store they bring the rest in.
we also spent 3000 on a publicist the second time round that put press releases together and organised our street press. got us reviews and shopped us to triple j. we got spot rotation on there. this helped sales and web hits. when we took it to triple j ourselves the radio station never contacted us back. the publicist was well worth the cash. during this whole time we never received anything or any interest on sellaband. our existing fans hated the place. :)
if you ever want any help let me know . band to band , ur music is awesum
stanlee
ps: sellaband …. pff always sounded like dutch for sillyband  from the get !
Good on you guys and gal!!! All the best and we`ll do something one of these days when you return to Perth! XXXX
