Sunday started off with a “Sunny New Day” (played as the sun came up) on the rtrfm Brain Blood Volume radio show with my dear friend, Shy Swan.
Bless you Shy Swan for including me on the set list and I feel honoured to have been featured next to the impressive John Martyn (who I had never heard the music of before now, and I LOVE it!), who died last year and was a good friend of one of my biggest influences, Nick Drake (who never received the recognition he so deserved until many years after his death in 1974).
Love you Shy Swan. Thanks for still believing in me! XXX
Have a beautiful sunny new day today! I`ll keep smiling for sure…

I guess it was a day of fast food and promotion… After Mum and I had a coffee (we had Zeth with us) and lunch at McDonalds we got into the car ready to leave when Mum looked left (from her front passenger seat) and saw a gentleman really enjoying his McDonalds burger. Mum said, “I`ll give him a card, wait a minute”, as she fumbled around in her hand-bag (she had already been giving out quite a few cards in the morning).
Mum has an amazing knack of talking to people, promoting, and being “Mum”.
So the man (Brian Coogan) seems very interested in her promotions saying that, “she is a great PR person and proud Mum”. We then find out that he is a presenter on Curtin university radio and has promised to play my music on his show tomorrow between 1pm-4pm, where they play music from the 50`s, 60`s & 70`s… Fits the bill then!
We gave Brian a copy of “Fire & Snow”, a card and plenty of chat.
Thanks to my wonderful Mum, no-one like her on this planet! Love you. XXX
Thank-you to Brian for playing my music tomorrow and nice meeting you today! XXX
Love you all. XXX

RTRfm is a community based radio station here in Perth.
A gorgeous lady (”Shy Swan”) who presents a show called `snooze button` play listed one of my tracks from “Fire & Snow” last Thursday night (2am-6am). Go and find out which one it was and replay the show.
With a bit of luck there will be more tracks played in the future.
Thank-you so much to “Shy Swan” who is also a believer of mine who I have never had the chance to meet, but I am hoping to in the coming weeks at my gigs. I can`t wait and then I can hug and thank her in person.
Speaking of gigs, we have been offered 2 yesterday.
I need more details about them but the dates are this Saturday night (22nd) & the 4th of December at the “Swan Lounge” in Fremantle.
I`ll keep you all posted. Stephen and I are looking forward to the many gigs we are about to do in the coming weeks.
Love you all XXXX

Nina is her name and this was in a letter she wrote… (She had listened to the radio interview with 6PR “Nightline” on Friday).
Dear Mandy, It was such a moving experience listening to you, talking about your life. It would have been the same to all who were tuned in, as you were articulate, sincere and interesting, and the singing as ever was mesmerising. With love, Nina.
Isn`t this lovely? Thank-you so much Nina.
Love to you. Take care and be bad! XXX
