Biography

A singer/songwriter not afraid to confront and express her innermost feelings, Mandyleigh Storm has made an astonishing roots rock album in “Fire And Snow” which showcases her remarkable voice and well crafted songwriting. Originally from the English south coast port of Southampton but now living with her young family in Perth, Western Australia, Mandyleigh draws on her extensive life experiences with sometimes painful honesty but always keeping the album’s mood upbeat and celebratory.

The recording budget for the album was raised on crowdsourcing website SellaBand.com, and it was produced, recorded and mixed by Mick Glossop (Van Morrison, John Lee Hooker, The Waterboys). A crack group of musicians was assembled led by Van Morrison guitarist Johnny Scott, and the album was recorded in Dean St Studio’s (Soho, London,) as live as possible with few overdubs to capture the spontaneity and depth of feeling in the performances…. just like in the 60’s.

This can certainly be heard in the grooves – from the southern soulfulness of “Go With It” and uplifting west coast groove of “Keep The Silence” to the warmth of “Alive” and the stunning rocker “Deep Sea Green”, “Fire and Snow” is Mandyleigh Storm’s calling card to a worldwide audience.
