Mandyleigh called me early this morning (Perth time…. +9 GMT). She said she had a wonderful going away dinner with Adam Sieff (A&R), Mick Glossop (Producer of her album), James Lascelles (keys and percussion and a weird instrument called the Dulcimer on the album, Martin Nicholas (friend/believer/knight), Mark (from Second Person) etc… . Liam Genockey (drums on the album) was busy unfortunately so couldn’t make it, but he should be touring Australia next year so will see him again then. Everyone who has heard the album so far has been blown away by it…. and that was even before Mick had finished mixing… which according to Mandyleigh has made it 1000 times better. She says it’s truly amazing what Mick has done and how mixing makes such a HUGE difference.

I can’t wait to hear it myself when she gets back tomorrow night, from her LONG Royal Brunei flight. Let’s hope their in-seat entertainment units are working, as most of them normally don’t, which makes a long flight even longer. Apart from that, Royal Brunei are an excellent airline to fly with.

When she gets back the hard work really begins, preparing for the release of the album…. finalising the artwork, getting distribution in Australia, finding a good manager, getting the song on radio, getting advertising and promotions happening to increase exposure, preparing the EPK (electronic press kits) and Fact sheets, finishing off her new website, forming and rehearsing with a band, getting press and media coverage and the million or so other things that need to be done. Making the music is just the beginning in a long process of world domination

Hello Beautifuls,

I had a lovely time and breakfast with Sevil, Angel and Starr. Such a wonderful lady and someone I wish could be a closer friend, but we will be in touch alot. XXX

I later went to say `goodbye` at my favourite spot “Eroma”. I will miss it and them very much. Thank-you guys and Mum of Shukru for making me feel so welcome and happy in there. XXXX

Well I got myself over to Micks at about 12:45pm and Adam got there soon after. Nick was already there. It was nice to see him again. Hope to see him on Friday for the last time before I go on Sunday morning…

We listened to each track. Mick is going to take until Friday to do the last tweakings… Cool.

I had my first experience of Lebanese food. It is good too! Adam took me to a place where he likes to go. Thanks Adam X

Hey Beautifuls,

I had a great day yesterday. I got onto the tube on my own. WooHooo! hehehe Then I met Adam at Liverpool Street Station for 12pm. We walked to The “Canteen” for lunch in Spitalfields. I had a delicious lunch of a roast… Just heaven in taste for me, but everything is a taste sensation at this time. We also had puddings… Adam had a mouthful of my apple crumble… He had rice pudding. It was good!

We had a good chat about somethings and then went for a walk in the Spitalfields area and also went into “Rough Trade“. Really cool vinyl/cd store. Pretty big and has a cafe area. Adam kindly bought me a CD which is a `must have`. Bless him. Thank-you Adam.

We then went for a coffee in a kind of American Diner… Name escapes me… And soon after Dagmar and Johan arrived. Nice to see them. We all chatted and laughed and it was a cool time. Johan and Adam who were doing the `comparing`bit sat there and `compared`. Oh man… So, who`s was bigger? (Don`t be rude, I`m talking laptops…). What dirty minds you have! Really! Anyway they had a chance to push out their chests a few times and things… Whose was bigger? You`d have to ask them… They both seemed to think `their`toy was bigger. So, let them fight it out…

I was able to mee the famous Mr Haydn Bendall. He is a lovely guy, very caring and genuine. Where are all these wonderful people coming from? I am so impressed with all the people that I have come into contact with… No ego`s, no attitude, just good old fashioned manners and genuine love for the music and their projects. This is everything! With people of Micks and Haydn’s stature, there doesn`t need to be an ego. Their rep speaks for themselves and they are damn nice people. Good on you guys. X

So then we got a cab, it was all `steamed up`when we got in but all of us talking and laughing must have steamed it up somemore. heheh

We got to Micks Studio by about 6pm. It was great to see him. I looked around the room and really missed it all. All say ahhhhhhhh…. Anyway, Mick played rough mixes of the 6 full songs… Man! I was gobsmacked at how they are standing now. I almost cried a couple of times… But, I`m `ard… WOW, and I was very proud to sit there with Johan, Dagmar and Adam and let them enjoy what they were hearing. I won`t say what had been said and what they thought as I can`t remember exact words and so on… They were very impressed. I was smiling from ear to ear.

Francis met us at Micks too. He asked if he could hear something… A preview… Of course! Ask him what he thought… I think he was quite impressed. My smile continued.

We left Micks at 7:30pm or so and all went for a dinner and drink at “The Thatched House” pub. Really nice. I enjoyed my dinner. Did I? I was on a buzz too. I was celebrating If only Mick could have been there too. Well we will be having a “Goodbye” dinner/drinkon Saturday the 1st of Dec. It will be a great night.

Francis was able to ask and talk with Dagmar and Johan about all the things he wanted to talk about. It was a great listen and conversation… We left the pub for about 10pm. Saw Johan and Dagmar off in a cab, and myself, Adam and Francis all walked me back to my gaff. Francis was map reading and he did a splendid job. We had a laugh and joke about things…

Francis told us… “I have no soul…” Bollocks, Francis… You have alot of soul. With the thought and love and care you are putting into your album, it will be full of soul. There is no doubt that Francis will make the right decisions and get a great album. You can be assured of his thoughts for his believers and audience. They are paramount.

And so I haven`t entered the basement studio with Mick today but I wrote to him. Telling him that I won`t bother him and I might be suffering with Post Musical Blues hehehehe

I did some internetting and spoke to my hubby this morning which was very nice. Then went onto ???? Yeah there and saw `plaster boy` who said he won`t say a word I saw `Smiley-gentle boy` and he was doing exactly that. I got a coffee today and a lovely mozarella and sun-dried tomato`d ciabatta roll. All toasted and with all the salad at the side. You gotta love it!

So then I took myself over the road to Shepherds Bush Markets. I got a couple of Spidermen on bikes for the girls. They love Spiderman! I spoilt myself with a jumper because I am allowed to. I got something for my Mum, can`t say what. Mum, you`ll love it! Dad, I think you are a hopeless case to buy for??? I have no idea. Gary you are done. I might get a couple more things though, if you play your cards right.

Well, thats it… I came on home and did a sh*tload of ironing… I actually didn`t mind it though. Its done and I won`t need to do any of that now for all of the time I am here. I listened to Stephen next door in his studio room working on and listening to some music… So the ironing was much sweetie sounding.

I am meeting up with the the `apple of my eye`, Adam tomorrow heheheh. Sorry Adam, had to be said. We will have lunch and a chat about things. We will then meet up with Johan and Dagmar. It will be cool to see them again. I wonder if Johan will have that `chilled` look going on again.

We will all then crowd over to Micks den and listen to Mandyleigh Storms album. Should be a treat.
